Group Travels (charters)
HAT Tours offers you the special opportunity to charter one of our hotel berges for your group travel. Make a sailing trip for a weekend, 5 days or a full week with your company, relatives, sports club or school class! What about a city trip, a beer cruise or a bike& barge tour? Our hotel barges also serve as a fine stay for groups of seminars or meetings in and round Amsterdam.

It's a quite a good idea to choose for a sailing boatel as an accommodation for your group travel. A ship combines transportation with accommodation and is in that way unique.
It also offers you a lot of advantages: your hotel room travels with you from town to town, which saves you time, effort and money. Around 25 boatels with crew, varying in size and price, are ready to transport your family, class or firm along the waterways. HAT Tours is there to help you choose the right ship for your group.
The boatels
The motor vessels on which you sail are not only a means of transportation, you also sleep, eat and stay aboard. Our ships are equipped with a recreation/ dining room, sometimes with a separate bar, a modern galley, a spacious
sundeck, mostly double cabins with bunk beds and good sanitary facilities.
The more luxurious ships offer more space per person, some have airconditioning and often each cabin is provided with a private shower and
toilet. Aboard some of the hotel barges there are even lower beds.
From the recreation room you will have an excellent view. Depending on
the waterways the ships sail between 8 and 15 km per hour. Naturally,
the itinerary you would like to sail is also depending on the size (e.g. height and depth) of the ship of your choice.
All of the ships we offer are built under the supervision of the national
shipping authorities and fullfill all safety regulations. Of course they are
regularly checked. For contacts ashore during sailing a marine telephone
and cell phone are on hand.
The crew consists of a captain and a cook, both professionals, who are often assisted by an extra hand. The crew will see to it that your trip will proceed smoothly and will assist you in carrying out your program.

The ship as your operating base
It is quite an experience just to sail with one of our ships. During the trip you'll find out that the perspective constantly changes: on a narrow canal
the ship seems huge, on big water it is more like a tiny nutshell. From the sundeck you can enjoy the lovely view, that is floating by. And while the
skipper will bring you safely to the next harbour, the cook is preparing a
delicious meal.
But we can imagine that, with the ship as operating base, you wish to see and discover more about the environment. Along the various sailing routes there are lots of possibilities for small excursions and visits (musea, recreation parks, windmills, attractive towns). Among our guests we have an enthusiastic group of art painters, who
immortalize different harbours on canvas. It is also a good idea to combine your trip with a svisit to flower park Keukenhof or to the cheese market in Alkmaar. We have also have a route along different regional markets.
